SSI / MSI / LSI Registration Services

WHAT IS PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION OF SSI?
A unit can apply for PRC (Provisional Registration Certificate) for any item that does not require industrial license which means items listed in Schedule-III and items not listed in Schedule-I or Schedule-II of the licensing Exemption Notification. Units employing less than 50/100 workers with/without power can apply for registration even for those items included in Schedule-II.
Unit applies for PRC in prescribed application form. No field enquiry is done and PRC is issued.
PRC is valid for five years. If the entrepreneur is unable to set up the unit in this period, he can apply afresh at the end of five years period.
Once the unit commences production; it has to apply for permanent registration in the prescribed form.
The unit has obtained all necessary clearances whether statutory or administrative. e.g. drug license under drug control order, NOC from Pollution Control Board, if required etc.
Unit does not violate any location restrictions in force, at the time of evaluation.
Value of plant and machinery is within prescribed limits.
Unit is not owned, controlled or subsidiary of any other industrial undertaking as per notification

Benefits of provisional Registration certificate (PRC)
• This is given for the pre-operative period and enables the units to obtain the term loans and working capital from financial institutions/banks under priority sector lending.
• Obtain facilities for accommodation, land, other approvals etc.
• Obtain various necessary NOCs and clearances from regulatory bodies such as Pollution Control Board, Labour Regulations etc.
REQUIRMENT FOR APPLICATION OF SSI REGISTRATION
• The application in three sets which contain Applicant’s name & address, Company/Industries name & address, Name of products/Item, Coast of Machineries, Coast of Mfg. Item, list of Document which attach with Application
• Furnish rental / lease agreement
• Submit self certified copy of power of attorney/board resolution / society resolution.
• Submit self attested copy of partnership deed / memorandum of association & articles of association along with certificate of incorporation.
• Submit copy of PAN cards of the Company and the Directors
• Submit address proof of the Company – Telephone bill, Electricity bill etc
PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE

PERMANENT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE
• Income-Tax exemption and Sales Tax exemption as per State Govt. Policy.
• Incentives and concessions in power tariff etc.
• Price and purchase preference for goods produced.
• Availability of raw material depending on existing policy.
• Permanent registration of tiny units should be renewed after 5 years
The registration under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006 is for facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises.
WHAT ARE MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES?
The following slabs have been prescribed under the MSMED Act to determine the status of the Enterprise:

WHICH ARE THE CLASSES OF ENTERPRISES THAT MAY QUALIFY FOR REGISTRATION?
All classes of enterprises, whether Proprietorship, Hindu undivided family, Association of persons, Co-operative society, Partnership firm, Company or Undertaking, by whatever name called can apply for the registration and get qualified for the benefits provided under the Act.
WHETHER THE REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY/COMPULSORY?
• A Medium enterprise engaged in the manufacture or production of goods has to compulsorily register under the MSMED Act. For other Enterprises the registration is discretionary or optional.
• Taking into consideration the benefits available under the Act, it is recommended that every enterprise shall opt for the registration.
• Registration of Micro, Small and Medium (MSM) Enterprises under MSMED Act is a very powerful medium to enjoy the benefits available to such firms.
MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES:
• Easy finance availability from Banks, without collateral requirement
• Protection against delay in payment from Buyers and right of interest on delayed payment
• Preference in procuring Government tenders,
• Stamp duty and Octroi benefits,
• Concession in electricity bills
• Reservation policies to manufacturing / production sector enterprises
• Time-bound resolution of disputes with Buyers through conciliation and arbitration

MEDIUM ENTERPRISES:
